Oh right-- I told you about my old unit during the job we did together, but I never got a chance to tell you about the kids I ended up working with after that since we got caught up in completing the task.

There aren't a whole lot of things I would brag about-- but those kids of mine are one of them. They're the cutest, most hard working kids in the world... as a big brother, I couldn't be more proud~

Her name's Soaring Crane! She works for one of the thief prince's back home.

Whether it means nothing or everything really does depend on the person who says it.

[Lark can't hide it, not when he was so dismissive earlier when Nazuna said it compared to this reaction.]

If she's like me in that regard too... it might be difficult for her to say it, even if she thinks so. Sometimes the more something means to you, the harder it is to put to words.

Wouldn't that just be setting himself up for disappointment, because he knows that's not happening, anyway?

...there's a saying “if you chase two rabbits, you won't catch either one”. But if you had an unrealistic dream like that, just knowing it's true wouldn't make you wish it was possible any less. At least... that's the way it is for me.

I don't know if it's really possible, but if it is... there are some pretty important people that I hurt pretty badly in the past I'm going to need to face if I want to be able to stand proudly next to them again.

Lark knows he doesn't know all the details, and he doesn't really think there's much he can say about it. So after a pause, he tip toes just a little and tries to reach up to pat Nazuna on the head. ]
